Columbine

Inspired by Art and Soul, I tried a different approach using Marshall's Photo Oils and water soluble oil pastels to hand color a photo. I used a high end 100% cotton rag paper for inkjet and sealed it with Hahnemule photo preserver. I used the diffused glow setting and sepia toning on the photo then colored it. What fun!

And thanks again Traci for a great class at Art & Soul!

Wow! It's beautiful! I have the phototouching paints but never used them. And I will have to try that photo preserver for the inkjet prints. Very interesting techniques indeed!

Suzie.. I LOVE how soft and lush this work feels. BEATUIFUL!

IT WAS SUPER GREAT to meet you. I sure wish you could have joined us for coffee.

THANKS SO MUCH for taking mine and Marylin's class. That was pure magic that we all created that day. Marylin and I have talked about and talked about how INCREDIBLE the Art and Soul experience was!!!

Thanks! I'd be happy to send anyone who'd like it some instructions on photo tinting. I really enjoy it.

And now onto Field Notes. And thanks to you Traci and Mary Lin, I am confident about rendering a bird! Just have to decide which one!

Suzie, your color in this photo is wonderful - more ethereal then you can achieve with a camera or Photoshop - it's lovely
